PREPARATION FOR BREATHWORK



BREATHWORK IS A POWERFUL, BODY-LED PRACTICE THAT INVITES YOU TO EXPLORE YOUR INNER WORLD. TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SESSION, HERE ARE A FEW SIMPLE GUIDELINES TO HELP YOU PREPARE.


BEFORE YOUR SESSION
IT’S RECOMMENDED TO ARRIVE WITH AN EMPTY OR LIGHTLY NOURISHED STOMACH. GIVE YOUR BODY 2–3 HOURS TO DIGEST ANY MEAL BEFOREHAND, AND MINIMISE CAFFEINE INTAKE IF POSSIBLE. THIS ALLOWS YOUR BREATH TO MOVE MORE FREELY AND ENHANCES YOUR ABILITY TO DROP INTO THE EXPERIENCE. YOU’LL LIKELY FEEL MORE PRESENT, MORE CONNECTED, AND MORE OPEN TO THE FULL SPECTRUM OF EFFECTS AND BENEFITS.


WHAT TO BRING
FOR 1:1 SESSIONS, YOU DON’T NEED TO BRING ANYTHING — EVERYTHING YOU NEED WILL BE PROVIDED. MOST IMPORTANTLY, JUST BRING YOURSELF, EXACTLY AS YOU ARE. THERE IS NO “RIGHT STATE” TO BE IN. YOUR PRESENCE, HOWEVER IT SHOWS UP, IS WELCOME.


WHAT TO WEAR
WEAR COMFORTABLE, LOOSE, OR STRETCHY CLOTHING THAT ALLOWS YOUR BELLY AND DIAPHRAGM TO EXPAND FREELY AS YOU BREATHE. IF YOU’RE WEARING JEANS OR FITTED PANTS, YOU CAN SIMPLY UNBUTTON THEM BEFORE WE BEGIN. YOUR COMFORT IS KEY TO RELAXING FULLY INTO THE JOURNEY.


SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS
BREATHWORK IS GENERALLY AS SAFE AS A MODERATE WORKOUT.
